MEDIS SERVICES
MARKETPLACE
I joined the Médis Marketplace project in its final stages—while I didn’t contribute to the UI design, I led UX testing and identified key areas for improvement, helping fine-tune the experience after launching into market.
Médis Marketplace – Fine-Tuning the Experience
I joined the Médis Marketplace project right at the tail end—just before launch. The UI had already been fully designed by an external agency, so while I wasn’t involved in the creative direction or initial design decisions, my role quickly became clear: to make sure the experience worked for real users.
Without much space to influence the visual side, I leaned fully into UX testing and optimization. I ran dozens of usability tests across different user groups, digging into how people were using the platform—and where they were getting stuck. The findings were eye-opening, especially for a project that was so close to going live.
From there, I started shaping improvements that would solve immediate pain points and support long-term scalability. Some of the key contributions included:
-
A redesigned main navigation menu was built to scale as more categories and services were added.
-
New product card layouts to address accessibility and clarity issues we uncovered during testing.
-
Fresh homepage banners, focused on clearer communication and more engaging content hierarchy.
-
Additional UX enhancements are still in the pipeline—smaller details that, together, make the experience smoother and more intuitive.
While the budget didn’t allow for immediate implementation of many of these ideas, the groundwork is laid. The insights are there, the I joined the Médis Marketplace project just before its launch, stepping into a critical phase of the development process. While an external agency had already crafted the user interface, my mission became clear: to ensure that the platform delivered an exceptional experience for real users.
With limited opportunities to shape the visual design, I dedicated myself to UX testing and optimization. I conducted extensive usability tests across diverse user groups, thoroughly examining how people interacted with the platform and pinpointing where they faced challenges. The insights gained were not only surprising but vital, especially for a project on the brink of going live.
Armed with these findings, I set out to create impactful improvements that would not only resolve immediate issues but also facilitate long-term growth. My key contributions included:
-
A revamped main navigation menu was designed for scalability as we expanded categories and services.
-
New product card layouts that specifically addressed accessibility and clarity challenges identified during testing.
-
Enhanced homepage banners that focused on clearer communication and a more compelling content hierarchy.
-
Ongoing UX enhancements—subtle yet significant details that will collectively create a smoother and more intuitive user experience.
While budget constraints initially limited the immediate implementation of many of these ideas, the groundwork has been firmly established. The insights are there, the concepts have been rigorously tested, and when the opportunity arises, these improvements are poised for execution.
This project underscored a powerful truth: even when you come in at the last minute, UX can profoundly shape a product’s success. By actively listening to users and finding innovative, scalable solutions, we can significantly enhance their journey and make a lasting impact.concepts are tested, and when the time is right, these improvements are ready to be brought to life.
This project was a reminder that even when you join late, UX can still make a meaningful impact—especially when you listen to your users and find smart, scalable ways to improve their journey.
